All fragrances are of the highest quality and all candles are made from 100% natural soy wax. There are no other wax additives and we do not use or stock paraffin wax in any shape or form! We offer container candles from bowls, tumblers, jars, glass votives, aluminium travel tins - perfect for a pick-me-up whilst on your travels or for the back garden! Pillar candles and replacement votive candles or tealights are now all available and all candles are made from 100% soy wax with top quality and maximum amount of fragrance / essential oils. Wax melts are a safer alternative to burning oils in water. Whilst water and oils evaporate quite quickly, wax melts do not disappear and carry on releasing a steady fragrance throw.
All products are cruelty free, i.e. all our ingredients have not been tested on animals.
The ingredients in our candles meet vegetarian / vegan / kosher standards.
We strive to provide the cleanest, environmentally friendly products possible. For this reason, we do not add dye to the wax because we want to achieve the best burning results for our customers and eliminate sooting and carbon build-up as much as possible.** We believe that soy wax is already naturally beautiful! We test and re-test each type of candle and wick to bring the best possible product to you.
All the wicks are cotton braid. The wicks are designed to curl to help prevent carbon build up and 'mushrooming'.
Most of our postal packaging is recycled. Our optional gift boxes are made from recycled materials. We are always working on reducing, or eliminating, plastic packaging altogether. We use polypropylene bags for our gift bags rather than cellophane as Polypropylene does not harm the environment during disposal. It's also suitable for recycling and satisfies the 4 requirements of the EEC Environmental Commission.
Some of the glass containers are made from recycled glass.

**NB: Some fragrance oils contain colour which will change the colour of soy wax. This may or may not be evident until the candle has been burnt and the burn pool may be different when it sets. This is perfectly normal.

Candle Care (Container Candles and General Information)

Allow the wax to warm to room temperature before lighting.
-
Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch to help prevent smoking and carbon mushrooming.

To obtain best burning results, retrim the wick before every use to prevent a big flame.

This is particularly true of highly fragranced candles.

Allow a full molten wax pool across the diameter of your container the first time you burn.

Extinguish your candle once the wax has melted to the side of your container, let the wax reset and then relight.

This will maximise even burning.

Burn in a draught free area clear of such as paper, curtains, books, etc. Keep clear of electrical items.

Keep the burn pool clean from matches and trimmed wick pieces.

Keep candles out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

Always place candles on or in a heat-resistant base set on a level stable surface.

It is always wise to place a heat-resistant mat under burning candles.

Extremes of heat and cold should be avoided. Do not store candles in the freezer as the wax will crack.

Never leave your candles or wax melts in a very hot place such as near an oven hob or in a hot car.

Candles can be cleaned by washing them very gently in cool water. Allow to air dry before use.

Your candle may develop a ‘frosted’ appearance if subjected to sudden temperature changes and over time. This is due to the natural oils in soy wax and is perfectly normal and will in no way affect the burning performance of your candle.

Using Wax Melts

Place melt in to top of wax melt burner.

Use an UNSCENTED tealight to warm the wax tart / melt (our unscented tealights last on average 6-7 hours).

Each melt can be remelted and will provide scent for approximately 9 hours.

NEVER add water to a wax melt.

Wax can easily be removed from dish and washed with soapy water. |
